Ci sono state diverse polemiche anche relativamente al fatto che il fondatore e altri collaboratori arrestati insieme a lui fossero stati arrestati su indicazione dell'FBI in Nuova Zelanda, sebbene nessuno di loro fosse cittadino americano.
