Dialoghi con Gennariello: la genesi di un'opera

Gennariello: Salve, Pasquale.

Pasquale: Buon giorno, Gennariello.

Gennariello: Come stai? Anzi, no, aspetta, cambio la domanda, dopo averti meglio osservato: cosa ti rende così allegro?

Pasquale: Beh, incontrarti, ascoltarti, passeggiare sotto il Sole di aprile…

Gennariello: Certo. Grazie… Ma c’è qualcos’altro…

Pasquale: Sì. Sta per arrivare a Roma Luis, Luis Razeto.

Gennariello: Il coautore de ‘La Vita Nuova’? Il corso di scienza della storia e della politica che sto leggendo?

Pasquale: Proprio lui. E questo mi rende ancora più allegro del solito. (Io sono allegro nonostante tutto – è una questione di carattere.) Luis ed io ci incontriamo per scrivere una nuova opera.

Gennariello: Davvero? Come si intitola?

Pasquale:‘L’Ultima Cena’.

Gennariello: Ah… Una terza opera a partire da Gesù, dopo la sceneggiatura per un film ‘Getsemani’… e il romanzo filosofico ‘Il progetto di Gesù’…

Pasquale: Proprio così.

Gennariello: E di cosa parlerà?

Pasquale: Della vita, della morte, della resurrezione, dell’amore, del potere…

Gennariello: A proposito di scrittura – volevo proprio chiederti come scrivete, voi due, le vostre opere. Mi colpisce proprio la scrittura de ‘La Vita Nuova’ che sto leggendo.

Pasquale: Scriviamo insieme, alla lettera. Ci viene un’idea, certe realtà, certe opere, prendiamo appunti, discutiamo, riflettiamo… e infine scriviamo l’opera.

Gennariello: Ah… Strano, scrivere veramente insieme, senza dividersi le parti. E in questo caso, per esempio?

Pasquale: Stiamo studiando da sei mesi, secondo un progetto comune, un insieme di fenomeni, e una serie di opere, e prendendo note su un documento condiviso degli studi fatti, e delle discussioni settimanali via Skype… Ora è venuto il momento di scrivere, l’uno a fianco dell’altro. Luis viene in Italia, poi io andrò in Cile.

Gennariello: E quanto durerà la scrittura?

Pasquale: Fin quando il testo sarà compiuto.

Gennariello: E quanto è durato il processo di studio e scrittura de ‘La Vita Nuova’?

Pasquale: Un paio d’anni.

Gennariello: Grazie… Ma… non ci prendiamo un caffè?

Pasquale: Certo. Oggi, però, offro io. E a una condizione?

Gennariello: Quale?

Pasquale: Che parliamo d’altro, ora. Per esempio, di te. Dei tuoi progetti.

Gennariello: D’accordo. Me ne frulla uno in particolare in testa.

Pasquale: Bene. Raccontamelo. La prossima volta che scriverò sul blog di Maria e Jacopo lo riferirò per filo e per segno a coloro che seguono i nostri dialoghi. Loro, come me, sono molto interessati ai progetti di Gennariello.

Gennariello: Hello, Pasquale.

Pasquale: Hello, Gennariello.

Gennariello: How are you? Or rather, let me change my question, now that I've seen you better: why are you so happy?

Pasquale: Well, meeting you, listening to you, walking under the April sun...

Pasquale: Yes, him. And this makes me even happier than usual. (I'm always happy in spite of everything, it's a matter of character.) Luis and I are meeting to write a new work.

Gennariello: Really? What is it called?

Pasquale: "The Last Supper".

Gennariello: Oh... a third work starting from Jesus, after the script for the movie "Getsemani" and the philosophical book "The project of Jesus"...

Pasquale: Precisely.

Gennariello: What will it be about?

Pasquale: About life, death, resurrection, love, power...

Gennariello: Talking about writing - I wanted to ask you how you write, the two of you. I'm fascinated by the writing of "La Vita Nuova", which I'm reading right now.

Pasquale: We literally write together. We get an idea, some realities, certain works, we take notes, discuss, think... and finally we write the work.

Gennariello: That's strange, you really write together, without dividing the parts. And in this case, for example?

Pasquale: We've been studying for six months, according to a common project, a collection of phenomenons, and a series of works, and taking notes on a shared document of the studies, and the weekly discussions on Skype... Now it's time to write, together. Luis comes to Italy, and then I'll go to Chile.

Gennariello: And how long will it take?

Pasquale: Until the text will be done.

Gennariello: And how long did it take to study and write "La Vita Nuova"?

Pasquale: A couple of years.

Gennariello: Thank you. But, should we take a cup of coffee?

Pasquale: Of course. But today it's on me. And on one condition.

Gennariello: Sure, which one?

Pasquale: That we talk about something else now. About you, your projects.

Gennariello: Alright. I have one in particular in mind.

Pasquale: Tell me about it. Next time I'll write about it on Maria and Jacopo's blog and I'll describe it in detail to those who follow our dialogues. They're very interested in Gennariello's projects.
